FoxDog –Will unveil their new Art Train painted by Austin-based artist Eduardo Martinez. The event will take place at 5 pm in front of Fox Dog. The Temple Art Train Project features miniature replicas of old steam engines painted by local artists! The project is funded by a grant from the Texas Downtown Association. This is the 7th art train within the downtown area, with artists slated to do more. They serve the finest coffee, craft beer and wine. Guests can come to try over two dozen local Texas drink options!
Fire Base Brewing – Will celebrate summer with a fantastic Labor Day Weekend Block Party! They’ll close the street in front of their brewpub and have live music by ‘The Bootleg Grifters’, and they’ll offer some tremendous Delta-style dining with the ‘Lulamae’s Cajun Cuisine’ food truck. In addition, there will also be recreational axe throwing, vendors, cigars, and of course, ice-cold craft beer!
New Business, ‘Chupacabra Strength & Conditioning’ – Will set up promotional booths to promote their new business opening soon at 201 S Main Street. They’ll have a promotional table up at FoxDog Beer Garden and another one up at the block party at Fire Base Brewing. They will be offering discounted memberships at these pop-up booths.
Mexiko Cafe – Will offer a Labor Day Weekend party with live music by the band ‘Astron+55’, and happy hour prices on all beers, all day.
J. Kowboy Wine Bar – Will be holding a Labor Day Weekend party for First Friday guests with a live show by guitarist-vocalist Eddie Pruett.
Total Elegance Creations – Will host a Labor Day Weekend party with free dance classes by the Arthur Murray Dance Center at their 215 S Main Street location. Group classes will include line dancing at 6:30 PM, Country Western Dancing at 7:00 PM and Salsa Dancing at 7:30 PM. Don’t miss this fun and friendly event.
Mo’s Railyard Saloon – Will put on a Labor Day Weekend Party with pulled pork sandwiches, music by DJ Smooth, $3 frozen margaritas, $3 frozen strawberry daiquiris, and to beat the summer heat, they’ll offer Fireball Popsicles for only $2.00 !
Tour Temple & Corky’s Wine Bar- Will put on a ‘Labor Day Weekend’ Karaoke-Night Party’ with DJ Brian Hogue, and earlier in the evening, they’ll offer a beer/wine trail bus-tour from 4-8 PM.
Green Door – Will offer 20% off an appetizer when you mention First Friday, and will put on a live piano show by Russell Boyd.
EZ Pawn Will put on a Labor Day Weekend party with a sidewalk sale and free refreshments, and they will offer a 10% discount to all First Friday shoppers.
Relics Antiques – Will put on a Labor Day Weekend sale with live music by guitarist/vocalist Dion Reed, discounts on selected items, and free beer !
O'Briens Irish Pub – Will offer 20% off an appetizer when you mention First Friday.
Bird Creek Burger - Will offer half priced appetizers (excluding chili), and happy-hour prices all day with $2.50 domestics, $3 draft beer, and $4 select glasses of wine.
Vendors Around Town - ‘Artist 2 Artist Showcase’ will stage a Labor Day Weekend art show and vendor sale at the Main Street Courtyard at 5 S. Main Street.
Artist Noel Johnson – Will hold an art sale on the sidewalk next door to O’Briens Irish Pub.
The Parlour Antiques and Oddities – Will hold a Labor Day Weekend party with free snacks, and beverages, and sno-cones ! …and all customers will be given a chance to spin the wheel for cool prizes.

Precious Memories Florist & Gift Shop – Will be open until 7:00 pm to serve First Friday guests and will offer 50% off all Fresh Floral Designs. Also, you will be able to buy 2 of the same Tyler products and receive the third 1/2 Price. In addition, they will have an Autumn-decorated Christmas Tree set-up where you can take colorful seasonal photos. Furthermore, guest will be able to view and buy beautiful hand-blown glass pumpkins for their Fall gifts and décor, and they will be able to tour the United Way of Central Texas Chrome & Carols Trees.
