Looking for a way to get your kids moving and excited about fitness this fall? The Healthy Kids Running Series Killeen is back, and it all kicks off this Saturday, September 28 at 10 AM at Purser Park in Harker Heights! Races will take place every Saturday through October 26, giving kids from Pre-K to 8th grade a fun and engaging way to stay active while enjoying the thrill of racing!

What is Healthy Kids Running Series (HKRS)?

HKRS is a non-profit five-week running program held twice a year, in both the spring and fall. Kids will participate in age-appropriate running events, including the 50 & 75-yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile, and 1-mile run. Each week, participants earn points based on their race finish, and all participants will receive a finisher medal at the end of the series. 🏅

- Location: Purser Park, Harker Heights

- Warm-ups: 9:55 AM

Special Division: Challenger Race

One of the standout features of HKRS is the Challenger Division, which offers an adaptive 75-yard race for children with disabilities and special needs. Runners can have parents, siblings, and friends join them on the course, along with any supportive devices they may need. It’s a wonderful opportunity for *every* child to feel the joy of participating in a race!
