Macaroni KID Killeen is a free weekly newsletter and website focused on fun family events and information in the greater Bell County area. We gather together all kinds of local family events and activities each week, and add useful information about classes, family-focused businesses, book and product reviews, recipes, crafts, camp guides and more. Family resources and support services in Bell County

Killeen Food Care Center

They offer free baby formula (as well as food) when available.

Aware Central Texas

Parent Educators offer comprehensive case management through in-home visiting. Parent Educators teach SafeCare, an evidence-based program for parents of children 5 years old and younger, which focuses on improving parents’ skills in three main areas: parent-infant/child interactions, home safety, and child health care. The program is designed to be completed in 18 sessions (6 sessions per each of the 3 lesson topics). Sessions typically last 50-90 minutes and are conducted on a weekly basis.

Bell County WIC

WIC is a nutrition program for pregnant, breastfeeding women and families with children younger than 5. Clinics provide nutrition counseling, food benefits for grocery stores, and nutrition education classes. You can also call your Bell County area WIC clinic to speak with a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor or Lactation Consultant.
