Summer in Central Texas can be scorching, but keeping your kids entertained and educated doesn’t have to be a challenge. Introducing the Belton/Temple Family Summer Passport program – a fantastic initiative that rewards children ages 3-12 for exploring six local museums and libraries. This program offers an array of low-cost and free activities, providing the perfect way to enjoy family fun indoors, away from the heat of the Texas sun.
The Belton/Temple Family Summer Passport encourages young explorers to dive into a world of discovery. As they visit each participating location, they’ll collect stamps in their passport and earn exciting rewards along the way. Whether it’s uncovering historical treasures, marveling at art exhibits, or getting lost in a good book, this program promises a summer filled with adventure and enrichment for the whole family. So, grab your passports and start your journey through the cultural gems of Belton and Temple!

- Bell County Museum
- Czech Heritage Museum and Genealogy Center
- Lena Armstrong Public Library
- Temple Children's Museum
- Temple Public Library
- Temple Railroad and Heritage Museum
Passports are available at each participating library and museum and can be found on their websites. Click here to download and print at home. Stamps can be collected for each participating location and a prize is earned when the child collects them all! One prize will be awarded for one completed passport per child.
Dates: Visit from May 31-August 31 and redeem your completed passport by October 31.
