The Cities of Killeen and Temple are offering free tree recycling at multiple locations! Your live Christmas trees will be turned into mulch.
FREE Tree Drop Off
Accepted for Drop-off:
- Remove all decorations, lights, and the tree stand from your tree.
- Only natural, real trees will be accepted.
- No artificial or flocked trees.
Belton Lake Fish Habitat Improvement
December 26-January 18:
- Drop off 6AM-8PM at Cedar Ridge Park sunset Pavilion
- Tree Deployment Event Day will be held at the Cedar Ridge Main Boat Ramp on January 19th, 2024 starting at 9am. Volunteers are welcome for assistance with cleaning trees of debris, outfitting trees with anchor systems, loading trees onto boats, and deploying trees to designated habitat areas around Belton Lake.
